Corso di Coding e robotica

[:it]Mercoledì 17 ottobre partirà  il corso pomeridiano di Coding e robotica.

Nella prima parte del corso, attraverso il programma il Scratch (software gratuito, con un linguaggio di programmazione di tipo grafico), i ragazzi impareranno le basi della programmazione informatica. Nella seconda parte del corso avranno modo di sperimentare anche la programmazione di un vero e proprio robot, Sphero!

Il corso sarà tenuto dalla professoressa Paola Cirelli ed è rivolto ai ragazzi delle classi 3°, 4° e 5° della Scuola primaria e della classe 1° della Scuola secondaria di I grado (6th grade).

Le lezioni si svolgeranno ogni mercoledì dalle 16:30 alle 18:00, presso la sede di Via Roversella, 2.

Il costo del corso (8 lezioni di un’ora e mezza) è di 130,00 euro, comprensivo della tassa d’iscrizione.

With the help of Paola Cirelli, the children will learn the basic concepts of programming, through experimentations and simulations using the Scratch software. In future modules they will also get the chance to try out programming a real robot, Sphero!

The workshop is aimed at students of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades.
It will be held every Wednesday from 4.30 to 6.00pm. The course costs 130 euros (8 lessons), registration fee included.

Corsi di “Avviamento al Coding” per i più piccoli

[:it]Ripartono da lunedì 15 ottobre ripartono i corsi di “Avviamento al Coding”.

I corsi sono rivolti ai bambini dell’ultimo anno della Scuola dell’infanzia (classi Bubbly Butterflies e Lively Butterflies) e agli alunni delle classi di 1° e 2° grado della Scuola Primaria.

Guidati dall’insegnante Paola Cirelli, impareranno le basi della programmazione informatica.

Il corso si svolgerà ogni lunedì dalle 16:40 alle 17:40 nella sede di Via Porta Mare 117.
Il prezzo del corso è di euro 130, tassa d’iscrizione inclusa.

La scuola riapre alla grande!

[:it]Lunedì 17 settembre è iniziato il nuovo anno scolastico; la nostra scuola ha riaperto alla grande con la presentazione agli studenti dell’ala appena restaurata dello storico Palazzo Gulinelli, che ospita il liceo linguistico.

Già salendo il maestoso scalone i ragazzi hanno assaporato l’atmosfera magica di questo magnifico palazzo con i suoi fregi, gli affreschi e i parquet centenari.

6 settembre: Early Years Coffee Morning

Lunedì 3 settembre comincia per i nostri allievi più piccoli la scuola dell’infanzia Smiling.
Vi ricordiamo che per la prima settimana tutti i bambini usciranno alle ore 12.30, mentre già dalla seconda settimana comincerà la giornata completa fino alle ore 16.15.

Come tutti gli anni, anche per questo nuovo anno scolastico 2018/2019, Smiling International School ha organizzato per i genitori delle classi della Scuola d’Infanzia una merenda mattutina per permettere ai genitori di conoscere meglio la scuola e il suo staff, e facilitare l’inserimento dei nuovi bambini che entrano a far parte della nostra “casa smiling”. 

Quest’anno sarà giovedì 6 settembre alle ore 10.00 in corso Porta Mare 117. Vi aspettiamo!

We remind you that for the first week all the children will be out at 12.30, while the full time will start from the second week until 4.15 pm.

During the first week of September all the Early Years parents, classes and staff are invited to a coffee morning in the school garden. It is a lovely opportunity to get to know each other over a cup of coffee and a special snack.

La nostra Charlie Montgomery ci emoziona!

[:it]Finisce infatti nel migliore dei modi la straordinaria avventura per l’Emilia Romagna di Junior League Softball (squadra di cui fa parte, nei ruoli interbase e battitrice, la nostra allieva Charlie Montgomery).
La rappresentativa nostrana ha battuto per 4-3 la selezione di Cranston (Rhode Island), rappresentante della zona East, e ha conquistato il terzo posto nella Junior League Softball World Series a Kirkland (Washington).
Complimenti Charlie!

Refresher Course

[:it]Torna a grande richiesta il ‘refresher course’ settimanale di inglese, matematica, storia, geografia e italiano.
La finalità del corso è dare, ai nostri bambini, l’occasione di ripassare le principali nozioni acquisite quest’anno, divertendosi alla smartboard e facendo coinvolgenti attività didattiche.

Il corso, svolto dalle nostre insegnanti, prevede due sessioni:

  • una rivolta ai bambini di 2nd Grade Giants – Titans e 3rd Grade Phoenixes – Unicorns
    Il modulo si svolgerà dal 10 al 14 settembre dalle 9.00 alle 12.15 in Corso Porta Mare.
    L’accoglienza è prevista dalle 8.30 in palestra.
  • una rivolta ai bambini di 4th Grade Cockatoos – Amazons e 5th Grade Leopards – Tigers.
    Il modulo si svolgerà dal 10 al 14 settembre dalle 9.00 alle 12.15 in Via Roversella.
    L’accoglienza è prevista dalle 8.50.

Il costo è di 35 euro a settimana per bambino e include uno snack di frutta che verrà offerto per merenda.

Il numero minimo per l’attivazione del corso è di 10 studenti.

The cost is 35 euros per child and includes a snack of fruit. The minimum number required for the course to be activated is 10 students.

Tra i tanti luoghi visitati è sicuramente degno di nota la “Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias“, un complesso architettonico composto da cinque differenti strutture, suddivise all’interno di tre aree tematiche: arte, scienza e natura.[:en]Our students of the middle classes in these days are in Valencia (Spain) on a school trip.
